Discover Ballyrock Home. Our goal is to be the best bed and breakfast stay in the Canmore Banff area. We strive to always be as clean and safe as possible. Guests have a choice of two very comfortable and quiet bedroom suites. Your host will serve a delicious home-cooked breakfast every morning. We encourage you to enjoy all the comforts of our beautiful and stylish mountain home. Every guests is free to relax in our spacious, attractive living areas and use our fully equipped kitchen. Roger is your host and will do his best to add value to your stay at Ballyrock Home as you enjoy the many exceptional experiences, activities and attractions available in Banff, Lake Louise and Kananaskis.
Ballyrock Home takes its name from the term bally, meaning place, and the majestic mountains (rocks) that surround us. It is Jennie and Roger's mountain "place". The decor creates an elegant mix of city and country living. The furnishings and accessories have been accumulated during our travels throughout North America over five decades. They reflect Jennie's Irish roots and unique style and tell the story of our lives together. We opened our bed and breakfast in October 2017 for guests from around the world to enjoy her special talents.
Ballyrock Home is located only 75 minutes from Calgary International Airport. From here, its an easy drive to Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Ice Fields Parkway, Sulfur Mountain, Minnewanka Loop, Johnson's Canyon, Kananaskis Country and many more amazing experiences.
Our beautiful Bed & Breakfast awaits you in a quiet residential area within convenient walking distance of downtown Canmore. Guests can hike through the woods or take a short drive to the Canmore Nordic Centre, Quarry Lake, Grassi Lakes, Millennial Park and other local venues. We are five minutes from a stop on the Roam bus network serving Canmore and Banff and about 2 km from the Legacy bike trail to Banff National Park.
Our property backs onto a municipal reserve which is part of a wildlife corridor, The "garden room" projects guests into the garden and the wooded area behind where a family of deer pass through almost daily. A herd of elk roam the neighborhood from time to time and every now and then a bear or two. Birds and squirrels are constant companions. The views are great. The sunrises are often spectacular. The beautiful Bow River and its Valley offer an amazing array of ever changing visual pleasure. All yours to enjoy in minutes from your home-away-from-home at Ballyrock.
