This is a really good location, has a very cozy feel to it. I would definitely come here for a weekend away from home again to adventure the mountains and have delicious breakfast served fresh every morning (different breakfast everyday). One of our best stays ever. Roger is an excellent and very welcoming host. We never had such a warm welcome. The space itself is very rustic and artistic. You could find everything you’d need here. And Rogers home is close to everything - cozy Canmore Downtown, hiking and biking trails, local pubs. Once you’re back from the hikes, you could soak in the tub to relax your sore muscles and sleep on a king size bed. Roger is very hospitable to make you tasty and filling breakfast too. This was a special experience. Roger is very nice and the breakfast is amazing! the house is lovely. Very cozy, casual and classy. We were upgraded to the Mountain View suite and we felt very lucky. The whole house is great. The mountain view suite is big and private. We had the whole upper floor with large sitting area and a king bed. My husband loved the jacuzzi tub. It was nice to use the kitchen for the fridge mainly. There is a small beverage fridge in the suite. The bed was comfy and the linens were great. So many books and lovely things to look at. Roger keeps a beautiful and inviting home. It’s spotlessly clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed and more. It’s also ideally located- very close to the town and hiking trails and to not too far from Banff/ Lake Louise/ Kananaskis country . Roger’s homemade breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We stayed in the mountain suite which has a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the little attached balcony with chairs and a table- a perfect place for a morning cup of coffee and drinks/nibbles after a day of activity. This is truly a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect....quiet and convenient to walk or bike to nearby trails or to downtown Canmore which is about a 15 minute walk along the bow river. Roger is very hospitable and makes tasty and filling breakfasts to fuel you for your day. His Irish pancakes were delicious! He also takes into accont dietary restrictions. Roger’s place is amazing! We stayed in the suite upstairs and the pictures really don’t do it justice — it’s so cozy, clean, beautifully decorated, with stunning views, and very comfortable (the bed and the bathtub were my favorite). The rest of the house is just as lovely. We ate breakfast in the sunroom and felt like we were close to nature to start our day. Roger makes a delicious breakfast and is happy to visit if you invite him to. He was so kind, gave us tips on things to do in the area, and even kept our luggages for a few hours after check-in. I've stayed in many places in Canmore & Banff, but this was by far my favourite. The mountain suite is an incredible private oasis with a rustic cabin feel. Roger keeps the place in top condition and has thoughtfully furnished it with so many little details to make sure you never find anything lacking. The Ballyrock bed and breakfast is truly a unique experience. The space has so much character, very artistic and rustic, it feels like a home rather than your blank generic hotel room look. Roger'splace is an amazing place to stay to visit Canmore! There’s trails that start all around the house and it’s easy to get downtown without a car. The place itself was beautiful and so cozy! This was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Roger’s place far surpassed any of my expectations. From the start we were welcomed and made to feel like we were home. The mountain view room was cozy, well stocked and had a balcony with an amazing mountain view. The king bed was so comfortable it was hard to leave it in the morning. There is a window on every wall so you always have a beautiful view. The rest of the house was so comfortable and homey. We didn’t do any cooking in the kitchen but it was definitely well stocked. My favorite room was the sunroom off the back! I absolutely loved sitting in there and enjoyed the yard, trees, squirrels and the landscaping. Breakfasts were served in the sunroom and were fabulous.

 Roger is a very good cook. Be sure to ask for the Irish pancakes. So good! Roger as a host was warm, thoughtful and always had answers to my Canmore questions. I am giving Ballyrock 5 stars because this Bed and Breakfast deserves every star! The location was also perfect. Quiet area of Canmore and close enough to walk downtown and to so many of Canmore trails. I truly can’t wait to stay here again.

Roger takes his hosting seriously, he enjoys interacting a little with the guests but is mindful of leaving the guests alone, even if you're happy to chat with him. He'll ask what time you'd like breakfast and then there's a moderate feast waiting for you. I had the upstairs suite, which was great! I was on a solo hiking/photo trip but thought it would be a very romantic suite for a couple. The balcony is great, even to just look out the window if it's too cold. There's a couch, desk, comfy bed, TV, and private bath and mini-fridge. All that and he lets you use the large kitchen, sun-room dining area.

This bed and breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Roger met us when we arrived, showed us his beautifully decorated house and was available to us openly. The upstairs room has a private balcony and is very comfortable. The sunroom and back yard were our favorite part of Roger's space, and we saw a family of deer during our stay!  This is THE place you need to stay in if you’re within the Canmore/Banff area. Roger goes above and beyond and truly sets the bar high - to an easy check in, great and fast communications, good recommendations, to the comfiest bed and the breakfast. Wow, let’s talk about the breakfast. Roger catered to my vegan diet and bought things specifically to cater to me. Not only that, but he made the best vegan pancakes and shared the recipe! We stayed upstairs and the room was perfect - plenty of space for a couple and has everything you need. Roger also included a mini fridge in the bathroom with waters and sodas. He truly thought of it all - this is more like a bed and breakfast. Roger is a pleasure to be around and I would recommend this to all of my nearest and dearest.

Staying in Canmore is great, because you have access to Banff and other attractions, but it isn't so busy or touristy as Banff, etc. Roger was such an incredible host! He prepared amazing breakfasts, and was always ready to help us with anything we needed! Honestly, you would be missing out by not staying here!

This was a very pleasant experience. I was there with my boyfriend for a few days ice climbing. This is a gorgeous house set in a nice neighborhood of Canmore. There's a lovely garden, and several dining areas. We had the use of the entire second floor which is a very large and beautiful, highceilinged room with it's own jacuzzi bathtub. The kitchen is fully equiped, and stocked with mineral water, coffee and tea, cold drinks, etc. Roger was a very generous and gracious host, flexible and sensitive, attentive to our dietary needs and morning schedule. For the rest of day he gave us our privacy and we had the run of the ground floor. The location is a few minutes drive to downtown Canmore, and there's a lovely walking path leading down to the river where the local's stroll with their children and dogs. In summary, this is definitely the most beautiful Airbnb house we've stayed in, and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family coming to tour Banff national park.

We had a very comfortable stay in the upstairs Mountain View room. The room itself is very spacious, clean, and has plenty of thoughtful touches — local soaps and shampoos, extra wool blankets, games, books, etc. The soaking tub is also very nice to relax in. There were no other guests staying at the time so we had all of the common spaces privately to ourselves as Roger lives in the basement level. He served us a generous homemade breakfast every morning which were always fresh and delicious and more than we could eat. We definitely recommend staying here!

We decided to make Canmore our base for touring and hiking in Banf National Park. Roger’s house was a perfect answer to our needs. The facilities were great with access to the kitchen and BBQ as required. A different cooked breakfast most morning’s was rather unexpected bonus. The upstairs suite was huge with plenty of room to relax on the bedroom balcony or on the spacious sofa - that is unless we wanted to chill in the large sitting room (with tv) or in the garden room! My husband and I came to Canmore for a couple days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were so pleased with our stay at Rogers place. The house was beautifully decorated and relaxing. We stayed in the mountain view room and it had a great view for sure! Great location close to Nordic Centre and to downtown Canmore but still on a quiet cul de sac. Roger responded promptly to all communications in advance and was very accommodating for a late evening check-in resulting from flight delays. Were the only people staying at the B&B that weekend so had access to the full main and upper floors (stayed in the upper floor accommodation). Very much a "family home" feel to it. Upper suite only has an air jet tub with extendable shower attachment (no stand up shower). There is a shower for the main floor accommodation. Very roomy (house and suite). Roger put together generously portioned and tasty , freshly cooked breakfasts each morning. Very clean and well appointed. Roger is an interesting gentleman and gracious host. Excellent stay. Would rebook here myself and recommend to others.

Roger is an excellent host. He was very thoughtful in asking us about our dietary preferences/needs. One morning, he even made the special pancakes vegan and they were delicious! We also got a variety of breakfast items every day. Each morning breakfast was laid out in the beautiful garden view room. We had the pleasure of enjoying the extra living space during our stay which made it even more peaceful. A deer and her fawn frequently visited the yard and area. We had use of the kitchen and our own private bathroom next to the bedroom and also use of the mini den with a small couch and a TV. The best thing about this trip is that I stayed at Rogers' house. Teenage daughters even said it was better than the Fairmont Hotel, and I think so, too. Roger's breakfast is really great and the menu changes every day. He knows how to bake a golden pancake. He always delicately respected the tastes of the guests, so I was deeply moved. He lent my daughters a bicycle, adjusted the saddle position.  Netflix, hot coffee, cozy beds, clean toilets and kitchen were the best. My dad and I stayed with Roger over Easter weekend for skiing and exploring the Canmore/Banff area. The unit itself is perfectly clean, equipped with every amenity you could need for your stay, well decorated and very spacious. Roger is an exceptional host! He made us breakfast every morning at a time most convenient for us and we often asked him to join us as he is a very warm, welcoming and kind person. We had the pleasure of trying his original recipe pancakes and they were the best pancakes my dad and I have ever had! I highly recommend Roger's space to others visiting the area.

 This feels like a home away from home. The two upper floors of the house are for guests (we stayed on the lower of the two floors - we had our own den, bedroom and bathroom and shared the kitchen, eating area + living room with the upstairs guests (though we mostly had it to ourselves). Roger lives in a separate suite on the bottom level and comes upstairs to make breakfast each day. Roger was really lovely - very friendly and accommodating. The value was great - there was a nice homemade breakfast every morning and we were able to use the kitchen so we didn't need to eat out at every meal. There were nice touches such as Rocky Mountain Soap Co. products in the bathroom. And the location was great! Only a few minute drive to the shops in Canmore and very close to dogsledding. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Everything u need is at ur disposal. The living room has big tv with cable and Netflix, great after a long day site seeing. Roger was very helpful when u asked questions, he went out his way to help me personally which shows the generosity of the man. The town is beautiful, a nice 15min walk from the house to the town, and just a 20min drive to Banff. U will not be disappointed if u book this property. 100% guarantee that!! Thank you so much for all your warm hospitality during our stay in your lovely & beautiful Garden View room! Upon the arrival Roger gave us a tour of the house, which is full of artistic paintings and decos. It’s a house full of love poems and stories. The entire house is exceptionally clean and with all B&B facilities. The warm breakfast is very delicious and a lot to choose, we enjoyed very much every morning while eating & watching the gorgeous, stunningly golden sunrise outside of the kitchen window. This is the perfect beginning of every day. This is not a dream but wonderful two nights stay!  Roger is very helpful with our tour plan and even search the information for us when we are not so sure! Roger is the most warm-hearted host we’ve ever known! We will definitely come back and strongly recommend to our friends!

Our 4 nights stay at Rogers „Garden View“ was great. The location is terrific and the house is in a very quiet area. You have easy access to the Banff National Park and the common hotspots there. Canmore and its restaurants is a 20 min walk. As a family of 4 we had plenty of room, our own clean bathroom and the breakfast was delightful.
